Our reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. We are confident that with our understanding of personal finance, coupled with our training as financial professionals, we can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. Athan Vorilas, CLU, CMFC, CLTC has been the CEO/President of Lighthouse Financial Network, LLC since 2008 which is
affiliated with Royal Alliance Inc. Athan began his career in 1987 as an Advisor with Prudential Preferred Financial Services
and quickly rose to the position of Managing Director of the New York Office. He founded Lighthouse Financial Network,
LLC, in order to be affiliated with an “Independent Broker Dealer” to offer a wider array of products and services to his
clients. During his tenure with both firms, he has been highly recognized with many awards and has been the recipient of
the prestigious GAMA Masters Firm Award. His passion in helping and leading other financial professionals grow their
practice is at the core of his values.

Athan continues to build his personal practice with a focus on wealth management and estate planning strategies and is a
qualifying member of MDRT, the premier association of financial professionals. His desire for helping his clients “light
their way to a secure financial future” is evidenced by the time he spends understanding his clients’ challenges, needs and
desires.

Athan has been a featured speaker on leadership topics at many industry meetings both domestically and internationally
including Greece, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines. He was featured as a Main Platform speaker at
GAMA’s annual LAMP meeting in the United States, Asia and Greece. In addition, he was instrumental in establishing
“GAMA Hellas” as the first European chapter for GAMA International. Athan has served as the Chairman of the GAMA
Foundation for Education & Research and served on the GAMA International Board of Directors. His involvement in the
industry is a testament to his belief in helping others grow their practice.
Athan’s passion for involvement in community includes having run the “Bikes for Kids” charity event for the Children’s Aid
Society which provided hundreds of bicycles to underprivileged children in New York City, and most recently providing
“Bikes For Veterans “ on Long Island, NY. In 2012 Long Island Business News named him “50 around 50” business people to
watch.

Mr. Vorilas is a graduate of Hofstra University where he earned a BBA in Finance and currently serves on the Frank G.
Zarb, School of Business Advisory Board. He resides in West Islip, NY with his wife and two children where he is actively
involved in the community including serving as the current President of the St. Nicholas Hellenic Community, Babylon, NY.

Michael received his Certificate in International Business at the University of Copenhagen in 1984 and his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics from SUNY in 1986. From 1986-1988 he earned his CPA while working for the tax department of a New York City CPA firm.

In May of 1989 he joined John Hancock Financial Network, which is currently known as Lighthouse Financial Network, LLC. During his career he has earned the additional designations of CLU, ChFC, and CLTC.

His practice focuses on wealth accumulation strategies during his clients’ working years and distribution strategies during their retirement. These strategies are unique to his clients’ risk tolerance, income tax profile and their overall financial goals and objectives. Insurance counseling with a major emphasis on Long- Term Care Insurance Planning is an integral component of his practice.

In the past Michael has raised money with Team-in-Training for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and has volunteered his time coaching the Half Hollow Hills Little League. Michael founded the Surprise Lake Camp Swim- a- Thon which he is an annual participant. This annual event raises money for underprivileged children and teenagers to experience the joy of nature along with the growth and development that is inherent in a sleep - a - way camp experience.

Michael resides in Long Beach, Long Island with his wife, Geanine.

In addition, Bonnie is actively involved in the Moxxie Network, a member based organization of high achievers that provide resources, connections and knowledge to peers.  She also enjoys volunteering in her spare time and fund raises to help find cures for Multiple Myeloma, Diabetes, Heart Disease and Breast Cancer.

Doug has been a CPA since 1988 where he began his career working in the Tax Department at Laventhal & Horwath and Friedman Alpren & Green. In 1991 he decided that his skills would be better suited by building a practice in the insurance and investment field by assisting high net worth clients achieve their financial goals. Bill was an outstanding High School athlete at St. John's Prep in Brooklyn and later was the quarterback for Hofstra University during their glory days. He starred for the Varsity baseball team for three years, as well.

Bill is married, with a daughter and a wonderful grandchild.  He lives in Baiting Hollow where he is involved in many civic organizations and activities.

Ramananda Rau is our Director of Compliance for the Lighthouse Financial Network LLC. He oversees the compliance operation of the Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ) as well as the branch offices located throughout New York State.  

Ramananda has had a long career in banking for nearly 26 years and been associated with banks in India, Dubai and New York. He transitioned to the insurance industry in 1992 and started his career with  New York Life Insurance Company. To pursue his career as Sales Manager he then moved to MetLife and MONY Life Insurance Company. He joined John Hancock Financial Network in August 2006 and was promoted to Compliance Director in 2007, the posotion that he now holds at Lighthouse Financial Network.  Ramananda holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from India and Masters in Management qualifications from Asian Institute of Management, Philippines.

To achieve professional excellence, he earned his American College designations of CLU, ChFC, RHU, and REBC. These professional qualifications and his own experience in dealing with high net worth clients helped him to recruit and train agents without prior experience and elevate several of them to become MDRT qualifiers.

Ari Zaretsky has been in the financial services industry for over a decade. Greg is also co-founder of a tech startup company, with responsibilities including securing funding.

As a father with an adult child with special needs, he is committed to helping families who are faced with the financial challenges that this can entail. He also specializes in working with LGBTQ+ families and individuals, and entrepreneurs and founders of all ages. Greg is on the Board of Directors of the Long Island Crisis Center in Bellmore, NY and Pride for Youth (PFY), a division of LICC. He has held leadership roles in numerous diversity and inclusion committees and has an interest in bringing the skills of mindfulness into financial planning.
